Drawing Sapphires
Guidelines: Do a Google search of sapphires. Select your favorite images. Make a sketch of one or more. Color your drawing. You can also include some interesting facts about the sapphire or leave it as it for display.
Designing Sapphire Jewelry
Guidelines: View the video below of someone designing a sapphire ring. Do a Google search of different kinds of sapphire jewelry. Look for photos of the types of jewelry you're most interested in such as earrings, bracelets, necklaces etc. After looking through different jewelry pieces. Think of your own design. Using an art pad or computer graphics design program of your choice (i.e. Sketchbook Express), sketch your design idea. Select the other metals and or jewels you'd like to draw into your design idea. Color your sketch. Consider making more designs. Consider becoming a jewelry designer and sell your ideas!
