Welcome to my Dramatic Deep Sea Creatures course! I'm so glad you've joined us on this learning adventure looking at nature's most bazaar yet awesome sea creatures! Whether you're joining me live for the course or taking it by recording, each week, go through each lesson block below in order. Per lesson, click on each of the lesson block links below, download the lesson files per lesson either before the live class session with me or before viewing the posted recording(s) per lesson page.
As students view each PowerPoint lesson, you can fill out the study guide using the Adobe Acrobat Reader pdf type in tool feature. Some of you may already have this app on your computer or device. After the lesson, student can review the questions in the study guide. Once you're ready, take the quiz at the end of each study guide. Parents or adults taking the course can use the answer key per study guide to grade the quiz.
Student Homework and Projects
Each week students can complete each lesson's study guide. In addition, students can do a course project about deep sea creatures. Each lesson page has a link near the top of the page to a resource page leading students to the NeS Marine Biology Virtual Library. The lesson web page includes web resource links, videos about the lesson topic and project and activity ideas. Students can select one or more projects or activities from any of the web resource links to work on throughout the course. Students can share their project with the class by posting pictures or videos of it on a personal or family blog and posting the link in the comments area at the bottom of the page.
